Three highly regarded corporate law partners from Halliwells have joined international law firm Davies Arnold Cooper LLP to enhance its existing corporate team. The team comprises Ian Brent, who will become Head of Corporate, Clive Garston, the former senior partner of Halliwells, and Steven Raize, a private equity specialist. Melissa Needham, also formerly a member of Halliwells' corporate department, joins Davies Arnold Cooper as part of the new team.
The move offers Davies Arnold Cooper the opportunity to develop a strong stand-alone corporate practice. The new team has an excellent reputation in public and private M&A, corporate finance and private equity.

He joins as Head of Corporate.
Clive Garston
Clive was previously senior partner of Halliwells. He is listed as an expert in Corporate and M&A in Legal Business and one of the top 50 players in the Growth Company scene by Business XL Magazine. He specialises in corporate finance, M&A and work for AIM and PLUS companies. He has been on the boards of both private and public companies from many years and is currently the Chairman of Ultimate Finance Group Plc. He is a Fellow of both the Securities Institute and the Institute of Directors.
Steven Raize
Steven has substantial private equity experience, in particular with share sale and purchase and cross border transactions, assets sales and group reorganisations. His major sectors include technology, media, telecoms, biotech and recruitment agencies.
