The International Labour Organisation's (ILO) 99th Annual Conference took place from the 2 –11 June in Geneva, Switzerland, and Syder acted as the sole legal representative of UK employer interests on behalf of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).



Nick Hine joins Employment Group

Nick Hine is joining Davies Arnold Cooper's Employment Group as a Partner, based in the firm's London Bouverie Street office. Hine will join the firm on 17 May from Thomas Eggar LLP, where he was Head of its London Employment Team and instrumental in the expansion of their London employment law offering.



Edward Coulson joins Manchester insurance team

Edward Coulson is joining Davies Arnold Coopers' insurance group on 10 May as Partner. Coulson, who will be based in the firm's Manchester office, specialises in Professional Indemnity (PI) and will head the Manchester Insurance team, working closely with the firm's London office.

Davies Arnold Cooper has advised Dragons' Den star James Caan on his latest investment. His leading UK staffing and real estate private equity firm, Hamilton Bradshaw (HB) has agreed to acquire a significant stake in the highly respected medical recruitment agency specialists DRC Group (DRC Locums and Locumlinx). The transaction includes HB combining with the ongoing DRC management team led by CEO Imraan Ladak. The deal was initiated and led by Tristan Ramus of HB.
