US firms at risk of insolvency spells more danger for the UK

The Insolvency Service for England and Wales recently reported that in the last three months of 2008 there were a total of 2,428 corporate insolvencies, which included administrations and receiverships. This figure represents a 220% rise in the same period for the year before.
