The members of Davies Arnold Cooper are solicitors, Exempt European lawyers or registered foreign lawyers regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in the United Kingdom. 7. Before 1 June 2008, Davies Arnold Cooper was a general partnership constituted under the laws of England and Wales. On 1 June 2008 the business of Davies Arnold Cooper was transferred to the limited liability partnership Davies Arnold Cooper LLP. Some documents on this website were produced before 1 June 2008. Nothing in those documents is to be taken to indicate that the general partnership Davies Arnold Cooper (as opposed to Davies Arnold Cooper LLP) continues business.

The Law Society of England and Wales is a designated professional body for the purposes of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.  Davies Arnold Cooper is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.  We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services we have been engaged to provide.  We are included on the register of Exempt Professional Firms (EPF) maintained by the Financial Services Authority.  The register can be accessed via the Financial Services Authority website at: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmSearchForm.do.    We maintain different registration numbers on the register of Exempt Professional Firms for each of our office addresses and can be identified in that register by searching for "Davies Arnold Cooper LLP".

11. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom as a data controller.  Our registration number is Z9438054.
