Insurance fraud

Why come to us:

Our insurance fraud lawyers have experience of advising on all types of complex insurance fraud cases.  We represent both insurers and third parties such as financiers, business owners and directors.  We act quickly to assess the risk and understand the evidence required to expose the insurance fraud.  Where complex structured finance agreements, warranties and guarantees are involved we are good at explaining the issues in easy to understand terms.

How we can help:

Our insurance fraud experience covers fraudulent claims against insurers: property including arson, theft and malicious damage; personal injury and motor claims; and professional indemnity including warranties, tax and employment issues.  We also have a strong legal team with experience in acting on behalf of financiers, business owners and directors to fight business crime where an insurance policy is not involved.

What we’ve done:

We have a track record of proving and fighting fraudulent claims against insurers, winning cases and recovering costs.  One example is the Abbey College case where we recovered costs of £850,000 on behalf of the insurer by hitting the insurance fraudster with a freezing injunction on the day judgment was handed down.  Our track record of fighting fraud on behalf of business owners and financiers is just as impressive.
