Our reinsurance lawyers advise both re-insurers and the reinsured. We advise on all aspects of reinsurance related disputes: policy drafting and interpretation including the complexities of policy conditions, coverage, wording, disputes, multiple jurisdictions and worldwide claims.
What we’ve done:
Our reinsurance lawyers have acted on a number of reinsurance recoveries including large market settlements and legacy broker issues. We have advised in relation to reinsurance disputes involving banks, film finance, terrorist attacks and pension issues. Many are international reinsurance disputes involving other jurisdictions, in particular, Latin America, Bermuda, Australia and the United States.
