Pablo qualified in Law in Madrid in 1985. Has an MA in Business Law from London. Having practiced both in England and Spain, he joined Davies Arnold Cooper in 1989, becoming the Managing Partner of the Madrid Office in 1995 and Senior Partner in 2006. In 2001 he was appointed as Lloyd’s first General Representative in Spain.

He has advised major national and international insurance companies and Lloyd’s syndicates on complex and protracted claims in Spain, UK and Latin America and on corporate, regulatory, licensing and fiscal issues. In addition, he has advised in the drafting of a large number of insurance policies (D&O, E&O, Bankers Blanket Bonds, Kidnap & Ransom, Household insurance, Fine Art, Jewellery, Warranties and Indemnities, Motor Vehicle, Political Risks, Contingency, Professional Indemnity, CAR).

Pablo has written numerous articles on insurance matters for both Spanish and English publications: ‘The directors of companies: insuring the risk’ Expansión, 28^th June 1990;  ‘Insuring against fines in the context of Liability Policy’ Actualidad Aseguradora, nº 24, 13^th July 1992; ‘The enforcement in Spain of Foreign Judgements’ Expansión, 27^thJuly 1991; ‘Claims made: La Delimitación del Período de Cobertura en los Seguros de Responsabilidad Civil relativos a Daños Diferidos: Una solución práctica’ Revista Técnica de Seguros, Noviembre-Diciembre 1993) and also has published a number of articles for EPLC about pharmaceutical law.

He has addressed a large number of conferences and seminars about insurance and reinsurance issues (in Spain, England, Germany, Portugal, Chile). Also he is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and is registered as a foreign lawyer in the Law Society in London. He is a member of the International Association of Insurance Law (AIDA), and a member of the Spanish Asssociation of Risk Managers (AGERS).
