Joanne specialises in the field of Employment Law and acts in both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has a great deal of experience in advising a broad range of clients, including both employers and employees, and is known for her down to earth yet commercial approach.

Joanne advises in all areas of employment related matters, including dispute resolution procedures, redundancies, discrimination, contracts of employment, policies and procedures, and termination packages, including compromise agreements. Together with being an experienced Employment Tribunal advocate, Joanne also has a particular interest in advising on restrictive covenants, especially the enforcement of them through the High Court.

Another of Joanne's key practice areas concerns business change, providing assistance to corporate teams on the acquisition, disposal or takeover of a business and advising clients on the associated employment aspects of a transaction.

Joanne regularly comments to the media on hot topics in Employment Law, delivers talks and seminars, provides training services and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA).
