Margaret specialises in industrial/occupational disease cases and in health and safety issues.  Her clients include insurance companies and companies and institutions which act as their own insurers for the purposes of claims brought against them for damages for industrial disease, especially asbestos-related claims for damages, in which she has more than 20 years' experience.  She handles multi-defendant cases regularly.

Margaret was formerly with the Government's Factory Inspectorate, supervising the implementation of legislation in the workplace.  This background gives her vital insight into the defence of prosecutions under health and safety legislation. She has acted in cases involving asbestos, acoustic shock, legionnella, sensitisation to cobalt, and industrial asthma.

Margaret's expertise is recognised in Chambers' Guide to the Legal Profession "She has 'great judgement' and is known for being particularly experienced in asbestos-related claims."
