Allison currently leads the national injury group at Davies Arnold Cooper, having been with the firm for 15 years. She has been an accredited mediator since 2003 and was appointed as Deputy District Judge in 2004.
Allison is responsible for the injury team which specialises in the full spectrum of employers/public liability, product liability and motor claims ranging from catastrophic to fast track.
Allison specialises in defendant insurance injury work and acts mainly for insurance clients on behalf of defendant companies or individuals. She handles, predominantly, high value employers' and public liability claims and has been involved in a number of high profile cases .
Within the group, more specifically, Allison heads the Sports, Leisure and Travel teams, specialising in complex issues of liability, quantum and jurisdiction.
Allison also handles claims in relation to a broad number of issues such as stress, health & safety, disease and work-related upper limb disorders (WRULD's).
Allison has assisted companies in formulating their risk management procedures and has written numerous articles relating to this area and other current contentious issues such as the recent claimants' costs decisions and the Department for Work and Pensions' report on the state of the employers' liability market.
Allison’s expertise is independently recognised by both Legal 500 where she is described as “well-respected” and “complimented by clients for her ‘firm but fair’ handling of claims”, and Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession.
