John has a degree in civil engineering and worked as a civil engineer for a number of years before becoming a solicitor.
He specialises in construction law and has acted for contractors, sub-contractors and employers in a wide range of substantial claims within the construction industry. He also acts for insurers in relation to professional negligence and public liability claims.
John also advises all sectors of the construction industry in relation health and safety issues, in particular the CDM Regulations and the new CDM Regulations 2007. He has been involved in defending a number of significant prosecutions by the HSE.
John also has experience of drafting and reviewing construction contracts, professional appointments and collateral warranties.
He has passed the Higher Rights of Audience examinations and is in the process of completing his qualifications as a solicitor advocate.
