Miguel qualified in 1986 at the Universidad de Valencia, and is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (admitted in 1992). Having been involved in the Ruiz-Gallardón y Muñiz / Davies Arnold Cooper Insurance Unit from 1993 to 1996, he rejoined Davies Arnold Cooper in 2004.

With extensive experience in domestic and international insurance litigation and arbitration, Miguel’s practice has focused primarily on personal injury and medical malpractice matters, both contentious (representing back-insured defendants on behalf of their insurers and/or Lloyd’s underwriters) and non-contentious (including drafting and adapting into Spanish Law a number of policy wordings, advising on coverage issues and also on public tenders with regard to the different Spanish health authorities).

He also specialises in intellectual property matters, particularly issues involving copyright protection.

Miguel is fluent in English (also in Catalan) and is a regular speaker at insurance, medical malpractice and intellectual property seminars.
