Chris is an employment law specialist. As well as being an experienced tribunal advocate, Chris is a regular speaker at legal training events. He advises a broad range of clients on domestic employment matters such as the transfer or takeover of businesses, contracts of employment and employment policies, restrictive covenants, employee representation, dismissals, redundancies and discrimination. He has a particular expertise assisting manufacturing and professional services organisations with compliance issues and terminations.
Increasingly his work involves an international dynamic. In addition to managing or co-ordinating multi-jurisdictional projects, Chris is one of the CBI’s UK Employer Representatives at the International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) annual conference. For the last five years he has sat on the Application of Labour Standards Committee, which examines the progress made by member countries following ratification of ILO conventions and specific ILO's tri-partite committees, which includes representing international employer organisations when drafting new ILO instruments.
Chris is also member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA), CIPD and the Industrial Law Society.
