Robert specialises in advising on insurance regulation, reinsurance issues, financial institution claims, insurance coverage and professional negligence.  

Robert completed a secondment at the FSA and advises on all matters relating to the regulation of insurance companies, Lloyd's agencies and intermediaries.  

He conducts reinsurance litigation and arbitration  and uses mediation to construct settlements of disputes.  Robert specialises in advising the run-off market on such matters as inspection of records, commutations, outsourcing and maximising reinsurance recoveries.  

Robert's financial lines work includes crime, fidelity and bank's professional indemnity claims.  His professional indemnity experience also includes advising on claims involving brokers,  IFAs, pension providers, solicitors, and computer consultants.  

Robert has conducted a series of cases that involved the US and he is familiar with US law and procedure. He is a member of the British Insurance Law Association.
