Michael Dobias is a senior litigation partner and a member of the Reinsurance, Accountancy and Professional Indemnity and Directors & Officers group.  He deals with arbitration, general commercial litigation, financial institutions, professional indemnity, insurance and reinsurance, both domestic and foreign.  He has been involved in several landmark decisions in reinsurance law.  

His speciality is insurance, errors and omissions and professional indemnity, and reinsurance. He has been involved in a number of high profile cases involving the Lloyd’s Reconstruction and Renewal plan, and actions against accountants.

Michael's expertise is recognised in both the Legal 500 and Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession where he is described as "bright and commercial" and Dobias possesses "unparalleled market connections".

Michael is a member of the International Association of Defence Counsel and the London Solicitors Litigation Association.  He has lectured on professional indemnity, in particular in relation to accountants’ negligence, and on insurance issues relating to professional indemnity matters generally and has written numerous articles on the subject.  He is a trained mediator.
