Chris is head of Davies Arnold Cooper’s Planning and Environmental group. As Chris started his career as a council solicitor, he is uniquely placed to understand planning issues from a Council perspective and he uses this understanding in his practice at DAC.

He specialises in planning, environmental, housing, and local government law. He handles legal aspects and practical problems relating to town expansion schemes, negotiating planning agreements and consents, promoting sites through local plans and local plan advocacy. Chris has been particularly involved with retail and leisure developments, waste disposal, remediation and redevelopment of contaminated land. 

Chris advises banks, lenders institution services, developers, land owners, local authorities and project groups.
